DIY: Chocolate Bowls

You may have seen instructions online (like here) on how to make fun and easy chocolate bowls. We did, so we gave them a try!

DIY: Chair Label/Cover

There was a time when one of our boys was having a hard time at church. He didn't like when we dropped him off in class. My wife's brilliant solution was to make this quick-and-easy chair label/cover. We would slip into class before church, put this on his chair, and then when it was time he felt like it was the right place for him. (I just hope the other children didn't mind that they didn't get one!)

DIY: Cardboard Fun

Our home renovation projects yield a lot of cardboard boxes, especially when we take trips to IKEA. Luckily, we know how to put the cardboard to good use:

If you buy large items from Lowe's and have them shipped, they might come in this cute box:

DIY: Birthday Cakes

Did you know that with a box of cake mix, a package of powdered sugar, some cream cheese, and a spash of milk and food coloring you can have a great time making a birthday cake? We have a family tradition of making birthday cakes for the little ones (okay, the big ones, too).

We usually do round layered cakes, but we get creative from time to time.

Here are some of our cake adventures:

DIY: Emergency Chocolate

We didn't make this one ourselves, but we love the idea! My wife received this at a church function:
