I update our family website with pictures of our family adventures each month (click here to see most recent). It provides a nice end-of-the-month review of fun family times, and allows a re-commitment to family.
Thou shalt live together in love (D&C 42:45).
I did a search for the word "family" in the scriptures, and was surprised to learn that "family" is only mentioned one time in the New Testament. However, the Old Testament has 67 occurrences; the Book of Mormon has 18; the Doctrine and Covenants has 22; the Pearl of Great Price has four. Now, I'm not saying anything against any book of scripture—not in the least—I just thought it was interesting.
Despite the abundance or lack of instances of "family," I'm grateful that the truths of God are applicable to the family—to my family—and that I know that "the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children" (The Family:A Proclamation to the World).
